Krista is a garden designer living in Seattle. She has a Master Gardener certificate from the University of Washington, and a degree in design from Parson's School of Design. Bellaterre is the intersection of her experience in art and design and her passion for the natural world. She creates customized garden and container designs for your outdoor living spaces.

Thoughtfully selected and organically grown plants are arranged to reflect your sensibilities and bring a sense of calm to your outdoor living space.

"I’ve hired other gardeners to maintain the gardens around my Greenlake neighborhood bungalow, but none demonstrated the reliability or work ethic Krista has. She has continued to maintain and improve the gardens ever since. She designs splendid container arrangements, prunes, keeps the weeds at bay, and fills out the plantings in the gardens with a lovely informal aesthetic. She listens and communicates very well, and I have been delighted with her interpretation of my goals for the garden spaces."

"Over the past few years, Krista has brought a new and updated look to the planters on my condo decks. She has a creative eye and offers practical suggestions drawing from her many years of experience. She’s detailed and efficient, pragmatic and imaginative in her approach. She takes the time to learn about your needs and preferences, inspects for problems such as pests or environmental issues. I’m always delighted when I catch a glimpse of her beautiful work, whether I’m gazing out my windows or admiring my pots up close."

— Dawn Trudeau, Co-owner of the WNBA Seattle Storm

"When we first approached Krista, we had a vague outline of a vision to totally transform our balcony garden. Krista talked us through some options and created the perfect combination of Pacific Northwest flowers and plants with a Japanese minimalist feel and sense. We couldn’t be happier with the results. We can't recommend Krista enough."

— Tom Hurley

"Krista is the best thing to happen to our porches! They are now beautiful and colorful year around.  We are always receiving compliments. Even though I have a black thumb, Krista has taught me to love and maintain these flowers and plants.  She is the best."
